For taxi medicals:

  • We will give you your taxi medical form back to you

What will it involve?

A series of questions about your overall health such as eyesight test, blood pressure check and review of any medical conditions and medications

Can you guarantee that I will pass?

We cannot guarantee that you will pass your medical. We will always give you every possible chance to try to pass. If we do not think you will pass, we will offer you a discount price to make another appointment with us in the future

Who will do my medical?

All of our doctors are working full time in the NHS and are fully trained to perform driver medicals

How long does a medical take?

Depending on the complexity of your medical, it can take anywhere from 10 – 30 minutes

Do I need a driver medical?

In order to obtain a provisional category C driving licence you need to pass a driver medical. If you passed before age 45 years old, then you need to renew at 45 and then every 5 years until 65. From 65, you need a medical annually. There are some exceptions and if in doubt, you should speak directly with the DVLA

Can I postpone or cancel my appointment?

We do not charge any fees for cancellations or rescheduling of appointments because we understand that lives can be unpredictable and it is unfair to charge customers! This is just another reason why you should book with Green Light Medics!
